The Waterloo Region has three major shopping malls; Conestoga Mall, Fairview Park Mall; and the Cambridge Centre. These three malls have a combined retail floor area of 1,982,264 ft².

The Waterloo Region has three major shopping malls; Conestoga Mall, Fairview Park Mall; and the Cambridge Centre. These three malls have a combined retail floor area of 1,982,264 ft².
- Conestoga Mall: currently undergoing a $50 million redevelopment project that is expected to be completed by 2009. This will include a 130,000 ft² expansion, renovation of the current building, and a new 700 seat food court.
- Fairview Park Mall: Fairview Park Mall is the largest mall in the Waterloo Region. It has 730,000 ft² of retail floor area and 120 stores. The Mall received a major $33.4 million facelift in 2007.
- Cambridge Centre: $100 million has been invested in the enhancement of the Cambridge Centre, including a major expansion in 2002. The Cambridge Centre is a principle interchange for the Grand River Transit, and has an NHL size ice rink called the Cambridge Ice Centre.
